Match Creative February Outlook
This month, be patient and laissez les bon temps rouler!
Greetings from Match! We had a busy end to 2011, as some of our more corporate clients rushed to fill vacant full-time positions and secure them in their budgets. This January was significantly better than last year – a positive sign for the economy in 2012.
Production needs are up, especially for straightforward production artists and managers with strong technical skills. However, it’s important to note that the economy still has hiring managers behaving cautiously. Hiring decisions for long-term temp and full-time opportunities are moving a bit slower than usual, requiring more patience from the talent side.
Our advice for this month is to hang in there if you’re currently up for a job. Feedback may take a little longer. If you’re actively searching for new opportunities, we cannot stress enough how important it is to update your resume and portfolio and increase your online presence. An updated, online portfolio is essential for marketing your work to potential clients.
On a programming note, we’re closed today, February 20, for Presidents’ Day. We’ll be back to work tomorrow on Fat Tuesday. Don’t forget to have some Mardi Gras fun!
